Day 2 at Syracuse. The team showed a lot of fight. We came in battered but not broken. We missed it on both the flat and champ. We brought one set of tires to this show so we knew it wasn’t going to be a barn burner. Tires had nothing to do with us being off from the start of the 2 day event however. We kept fighting, work together and made changes and salvaged the weekend. Layne George pulled off a third in clone heavy and the champ broke the top 3. Thank you to Dan Friend and Great Clips of Lockport and Rochester for the support, Bobby Holmes for the tires, Scott Schuman for stepping up as the crew chief and everyone else that has/ had a part in this journey. Above all, I hope this was a great 16th Birthday for Layne as he can check the indoor Syracuse race off his bucket list.

New champ is in and tore down quickly. Mock motor in and being put back together. The old 39 and new 03 piloted by Layne George on the block getting ready for indoors and it’s new driver.

1 month before we open up our winter indoor season. The 39 2022 pursuit is staying in the stable and will become the 03 piloted by Layne George. He will be running in Syracuse in the pro clone 360 and required 360 warm up both Friday and Saturday nights. The Slack racing chassis champ 39 is in and excited to start getting it ready for Syracuse and beyond. Crunch time !

Andy made the right choice and helped out the Bills and forgot about the race, however we had a great day. Winning this race was very important but we came up short even with the fastest piece on the track. Pill draw went as usual and the 39 started last. We marched through the field with our 18 year old Dover Power Flathead ( that was still strong) to third and beat the hell out of the second place finishers bumper but couldn’t get around him without wrecking him. To his credit he ran a great race holding me off. I think Andy would be happy and I can hear him telling me how slow I am. Third place finish on the monster banked 1/4 mile bowl ring ( Super Speedway for us) that is Mahoning Valley Speedway is a good day. Layne George had to race the animals ( motor class) with his clone since he was the only clone that showed up but he still took second. The kid is fast !!! Thank you everyone that makes this possible and has supported my family and myself through this trying time.
