We love our Case Managers! At Independence Association, we believe everyone deserves a great support crew — the kind that shows up, listens, advocates, and even brings snacks (when able!). 😊
We work alongside children and adults with intellectual disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges to create plans centered on their goals, their dreams, and their vision of independence. From coordinating services and advocating for needs to making connections and celebrating every milestone, big or small, our case managers are there every step of the way. After all, we’re professional independence enthusiasts! 💪
Our dedicated and compassionate adult and children’s case management teams remain committed to providing the highest quality of services, even amid the many challenges facing today’s healthcare and human services systems.

IA is proud to have a strong team of 12 case managers whose experience ranges from just a few months with the organization to more than 25 years! The knowledge, expertise, dedication, and compassion they bring to their work are truly remarkable. ❤️

Everyday at Independence Association, we work to give our clients what they need to thrive. Sometimes that’s a helping hand, sometimes it’s more. A few months ago, Calvin had a seizure while at program. Staff were in communication with his mom, Christy, during the seizure, and sent her this picture after the seizure had passed. We had the best time at our art retreat on the Schoodic Peninsula last week! A group of artists and artist mentors went up to Acadia National Park for inspiration and art-making.
