Join us for Community Song Circles for Love, Peace, Justice, Together this winter and spring! From January through April, we'll sing together on fourth Tuesdays from 6:30 - 7:30 pm (with snow dates of the following Sunday, 1 – 2:00 pm) , rotating to a variety of faith and community locations:

Tues Jan 27 (Sun Feb 1) –Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 336 Maine St., Brunswick

Tues Feb 24 (Sun March 1) - St Paul's Episcopal Church, 27 Pleasant St., Brunswick

Tues March 24, (Sun March 29) - The Gathering Place, 5 Tenney Way, Brunswick

Tues April 28, - Durham Friends Meeting, 534 Quaker Meeting House Rd., Durham

Local Interfaith Council Condemns Antisemitic Violence: BAIC condemns antisemitic violence and calls us to renewed courage in interfaith solidarity and collaboration

Brunswick ME, December 19, 2025
Members of the Brunswick Area Interfaith Council join people of good will from around the world in condemning the antisemitic violence that recently claimed the lives of 15 people in Sydney, Australia. As the faithful gathered for a celebration of Hanukkah in the popular area of Bondi beach, two gunmen transformed the traditional celebration of light into a scene of death and destruction. The impact of those acts were not isolated to Australia, though clearly felt most profoundly in their community; rather, this act of violence touches Jewish people everywhere who have experienced a sharp rise in antisemitic speech and acts.

We know from our own experience how important and life-giving it can be to build and nurture interfaith appreciation and collaboration. Our recent campaign to promote “Love, Peace, Justice - Together” draws on these shared, core values of our various faith traditions, and calls us to work together to make them real.

In an increasingly polarized world in which religion is often used as a wedge to divide, we invite a more engaged and collaborative response, grounded in mutual respect and solidarity. We stand with and support our Jewish member communities and individuals who are feeling increased fear during this time, and we pledge to work together to promote peace and understanding across our differences.
