A massive data center is being proposed in the Town of East Fishkill. The town is considering a 7 month data center moratorium, but that is not enough time to properly assess the risks. Show up to the public hearing to stop this data center!

Enbridge is back with a new proposal to expand the dirty fracked gas pipeline that runs through Indian Point, the Hudson River and congressional district 17. We’re calling on our elected officials to speak out against this outrageous proposal, squash it (like we did with Project Maple) and stop all fossil fuel infrastructure expansion in New York. Rally with us!

We have until Friday to press the pause button on data centers in New York.

The explosion of proposed data centers is one of the worst affordability and environmental threats facing New York. Across the nation, this expansion is rapidly increasing demand for energy, driving more fossil fuel pollution, straining water resources, devouring land, and raising utility bills.

We’re in a climate crisis and our bills are too darn high – and data centers drastically worsen both problems. Data centers have a massive appetite for energy. This risks a huge and costly expansion of fracked gas pipelines and power plants, at great expense to ratepayers while undermining our climate goals.

The good news: Legislation has been introduced in Albany to press the pause button on data centers in New York.

Here’s the urgency: The legislative session ends on June 5. It is essential that Assembly members tell Speaker Heastie that this bill is a priority that must be voted on and passed this session. Can you make a call today?
