This month and every month, PPGNY & PPGNY Action Fund continue to protect and defend bodily autonomy and sexual/repro health equity for our LGBTQ+ patients and community members. The history of Pride is rooted in the fight for dignity and respect, safety and love. Every person, no matter their identity, deserves to be their authentic self -- in public settings, at work, in medical spaces, at home...everywhere.

Last week, our incredible activists powered an “I Fight for Planned Parenthood Week of Action!" Together, we called, emailed, canvassed, and rallied across the state, ensuring our leaders from Albany to DC heard us loud and clear—our leaders must oppose any attempt to “defund” Planned Parenthood. 📣

No matter where our lawmakers were hiding out—home, vacation, or somewhere in between—we made sure they heard the truth: their attacks on sexual and reproductive health care funding are hurting Planned Parenthood patients across New York. Thank you to everyone who joined us! 🩷

Last weekend, PPGNY Action Fund co-sponsored events across upstate New York in Utica, Beacon, and Middletown. One of our incredible staff members, Ruth, spoke at the Beacon rally, spreading awareness about "defunding" threats against Planned Parenthood and how community members can get involved regarding current budget and legislation priorities. How great is Ruth's "Abortion Girlie" t-shirt?❤️ Wherever we show up, our message remains strongly the same: care no matter what! Planned Parenthood of Greater New York will keep providing care, keep fighting for our communities, and we will NOT be silenced.
