Today we joined the NYC Office of Talent and Workforce Development, the Mayor’s Office of Child Care and Early Childhood Education, and Kennedy Children's Center at The City University of New York Hostos Community College Children's Center in the Bronx for an exciting announcement about the city's expanded investment in early childhood apprenticeship programs! As New York City expands access to child care, we must also ensure that educators have meaningful pathways to enter the profession, develop their expertise, and build lasting careers. Apprenticeships bring together paid, hands-on experience with education, mentorship, and career support, creating opportunities for professional growth. We're grateful for the City’s continued investment in this model and in the strong, skilled early childhood workforce needed to serve New York City’s children and families.

🎉 We're proud to announce the city's expanded investment in our NYC Early Childhood Apprenticeship! The apprenticeship program creates a supported pathway for people to enter the early childhood profession, learn on the job, continue their education, and build a career. When we create and invest in those pathways that work for educators, we strengthen the workforce — and ultimately, we strengthen the quality and stability of the experiences we can provide for young children and their families.
