We’re thrilled to announce we’ll be exhibiting at BagelUp’s 7th Annual New York BagelFest presented by King Arthur Baking Company

On Sunday, November 15th, we’ll be at Citi Field for our third year alongside 25 acclaimed bagel shops from five countries, serving up egg creams, traveling exhibits from the Museum, and visits from our mascot, Spritz the Siphon!

As an attendee, you’ll sample bite-sized signature offerings from every competitor and vote for your Top 3 favorites.

Tickets start at $69, and include unlimited sampling, industry expert panels, and activities for the entire family. A limited number of Early Bird Tickets go on sale September 8th for $49. Follow BagelFest so you don’t miss it. See you at Citi Field on November 15!

Yes, this IS for real: you are invited to the first Brooklyn Mah Jongg and Egg Cream Social.

On Sunday, Sept 27, 2026, the Brooklyn Seltzer Museum will hold the Brooklyn Mah Jongg and Egg Cream Social. Go to BrooklynSeltzerMuseum.org for more information.

For our first event, the game play will focus on American Mah Jongg, based on the rules of the National Mah Jongg League. (If it goes well, we will look to bring in Hong Kong-style in the next round).

The event will be held at the Brooklyn Seltzer Museum. Space is limited so tickets are capped at 40 players per session.

Schedule of event:
* 9:30 am: Doors (and Museum Shop) open
* 10:00 am – 12:45 pm: Social Play: morning session (and seltzer will flow)
* 1:00 pm: Lunch / Mini-tour / Egg Creams / Raffle
* 2:00 pm – 4:45 pm: Social Play: afternoon session (more seltzer)
* 5:00 pm: Event concludes

Ticket costs:
* $65 for one session (morning or afternoon session)
* $118 for both sessions (a $12 discount)

Tickets includes lunch, a mini-tour of both the Museum and Factory, and a raffle with fun seltzer- and mahj-related merch. A portion of proceeds from the event will be donated to both the Brooklyn Seltzer Museum and StopAAPIHate.org, an organization dedicated to preventing anti-Asian hate crimes.

Spritz the Siphon had a blast yesterday at the Egg Rolls, Egg Creams, and Empanada Festival. We even got some mah jongg in. Who’s is up from some maj and seltzer, at our place? 🀄️

What’s old is new again. Fascinating to watch a new trend from Utah spread the country due to a reality tv show which is really a call back to the original east coast soda fountains from a century ago.

We usually don’t like to see seltzer siphon taken out of commission, but I was walking up ninth Avenue in Manhattan and saw this beautiful display at 5 Napkin Burgers and had to take a few shots to share.

Today come visits the Brooklyn Seltzer Museum in Manhattan at the Pickles, Pastrami, and Pop event at the Museum of the City of New York .events. We’re here with the offering seltzer-based drinks, family activities, museum archives, and tasting competitions. Drop on by!
