Good Afternoon, BAPA members.

We were just recently sent this very nice letter from Nowshin Ali, the co-founder of People In Need and we wanted to share with the whole BAPA community:

"Dear Ms Parvin Rahman and all the members of BAPA

Thank you so much for your donation of $3,000 for supporting our cause to feed hundreds of families every week.
Since the last 3 and half months, our volunteers have been working hard, purchasing, packing and delivering food boxes to the families in need all over Brooklyn. In the process, we prioritize old people, COVID19 positive families, disabled/special needs, single moms, undocumented and/or low income families.

We all worry about the possible exposure to the COVID19 and take all precautions to keep us safe and going.
In an average, we distribute 300 food boxes each week.
Each of our food boxes weighs around 50-60 pounds and have 2 weeks essential grocery items for a family size of 5 people. So, our grocery food boxes serve around 15,000 people each week.

From this month, we have also started pickups by appointment.

Thanks to your donation, we have been able to keep our work going.

Thanks to our incredible donor and volunteer support, we have been able to pull this together and keep it going till now.
We were also featured in Brooklyner and Brooklyn paper for our work.
