New York Riders - Putnam County NY Riders Group-We have some motorcycle riders and some Members that do not ride-you DO NOT need to have a motorcycle to join us.

Most of all we are a group of people who offer support to Veterans,First Responders & Police when necessary.

Please join us after our parade & ceremony for a hot dog lunch at the Brewster Post (at approximately 11:15 am). 🌭
Let us continue this 156 year Brewster tradition

Memorial Day is not Veterans Day.
It isn’t about honoring everyone who served.

It’s specifically about remembering the men and women who lost their lives while serving.

The ones who never made it home.
The ones whose families got the knock on the door, the phone call, or the life-changing news no one ever wants to receive.

The spouses who had to figure out how to keep going.
The children who grew up with stories instead of memories.
The parents who buried their child.
The families whose world changed forever in a single moment.

So yes, enjoy the freedoms this weekend brings.

Gather with your people.
Take the trip.
Have the cookout.
Make the memories.

But please remember those freedoms came at an unimaginable cost for some families.

Memorial Day is about them. 🇺🇸❤️

Memorial day weekend isn’t just about the pools opening. Or beach trips. Or the bbq’s and gatherings.

It is about remembering the people who never made it home to their families so ours could sit around freely and make those memories in the first place.

I want my kids to grow up understanding that freedom was never free. That somebody, somewhere, paid for it with birthdays missed, time stolen, and lives given.

So yes, we’ll enjoy the weekend.
But we’ll also remember why we’re able to.
