Cultural Arts Coalition Cultural Arts Coalition celebrates the community with transformative and Inspiring arts experiences!

Our mission is to serve as a Cultural Arts Center for our community and thus we are actively engaged in restoring the Southeast Old Town Hall, a historically important structure in Brewster Village that houses a theater on its top floor, the Southeast Museum on the middle floor, and our Studio Around the Corner on the basement level. In normal times, we present and host art exhibits, music and dan

ce concerts, theatrical productions, book readings, educational opportunities, community events, theater education, plays and more. For the past many years, we have collaborated with Cornell Cooperative Extension and other organizations to grow a Garden Around the Corner, beautifying the grounds and supplying fresh produce to the Putnam Community Action Partnership. The Studio Around the Corner space is available for cultural and arts groups/individuals to schedule use. We hope to reopen the theater one day soon, simultaneously providing a boost to economic vibrancy in the area.

Happy Sunday from The Garden Around the Corner.

Thank you to all the garden volunteers who make the Brewster Community - Garden Around the Corner beautiful and bountiful.

Around the patio bed we planted the 3 Sisters - squash, beans and corn. The squash covers the ground and keeps moisture in the soil and the beans climb the corn stalks and fix nitrogen in the soil, enriching it for the other plants. This ancient agricultural technique, rooted in Native American tradition, promotes a symbiotic relationship among the plants, enhancing their growth and sustainability.
