celebrating success and growth
Nelva Zambrano
Hello everyone! I am excited to share some good news with you all. Brewster Cares English as a Second Language (ESL) is a non-profit program that serves Brewster and its surrounding areas, including Hispanic and other non-English speaking communities. We are thrilled about the success of our students. On July 3, 2024, we held our 1st Milestone Achievement Certificate Awards ceremony. Many of our students joined us to celebrate their achievements and growth in understanding and communicating in English. We enjoyed a meal together, witnessed their impressive pronunciation skills as they recited the pledge of allegiance in honor of the upcoming 4th of July, played games, and shared success stories. Many of the students have shown outstanding dedication to their learning journey.
We are extremely proud of all our students. Brewster Cares ESL wishes them continued success and is committed to helping them reach new heights in their language skills. We also extend an invitation to anyone interested in joining our program to learn with us, as well as a call for volunteers to support our mission. If you would like to contribute and be a part of this wonderful initiative, please contact me, at 914-482-0883 or email at

With sincere gratitude to all the donors whose generosity has contributed to the success of our program. Thank you all for your support.
One of our students wrote this thank you note in ENGLISH!
I’ve been in this country for eight years and to have found this school and learning English, has been the best opportunity in my life. We know that going to other schools to study English is very expensive and not all of us have enough money to pay it. That’s why I feel so grateful tonight. I want to tell thank all the people who make this project possible.
Thank you because now I have a better job than before, now I can go to the doctor without looking for a translator. Now I can go shopping and I can buy or do everything by myself. Thank you because now I feel so happy and I want to continue to improve myself.
