We hope you had a chance to check out a few of the special additions to this year's Denim & Diamonds Gala!

joined us with a fabulous pop-up shop featuring Tecovas cowboy boots, western-inspired fashion, and accessories, generously donating a portion of sales back to Pegasus.

We were also excited to welcome artist .dalesandro , who showcased his custom portraits inspired by beloved pets, horses, family, friends, and special memories.

This Mental Illness Awareness Week, Pegasus continues to recognize the importance of open conversations, reducing stigma, and creating more opportunities for people to access meaningful mental health support.

Coming in January 2027, Pegasus will introduce Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy, led by Judith Halden, LCSW, ESMHL. Judith is a New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than a decade of experience and is credentialed through PATH Intl. as an Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning.

Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy combines professional mental health support with meaningful interaction with horses, creating a unique environment for individuals to explore emotions, relationships, communication, self-awareness, and personal growth.

For more than 50 years, Pegasus has seen the extraordinary impact horses can have on people’s lives. This January, we’re taking another step forward in how we serve our community.

Mental health challenges are affecting individuals, families, and communities across the country.

According to the CDC:

• About 1 in 3 high school students experience persistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness.

• 1 in 5 U.S. adults have been diagnosed with a depressive disorder

As the need for mental health support continues to grow, so does the importance of creating new opportunities for connection, confidence, and emotional well-being.

Horses can play a powerful role in creating those opportunities. Through equine-assisted services, participants can build trust, develop meaningful skills, and connect in a unique, supportive environment.

Sometimes, connection begins without saying a word.
