Advocacy Update!
Congress is quickly advancing an extension of the Legacy Restoration Fund which has provided over $9 billion in funding over the last five years to address the public lands maintenance backlog, including significant investments in trails and recreation access! As trail users a strong way to make our voices heard is by sending a message to urge the Senate and House of Representatives to get this to the President’s desk and signed into law by July 4! Do some digging into this and make your voice heard by sending a message! Does advocacy interest you? Remember we have open board seats, help the community stay informed on related advocacy topics and help steward trails for the generations to come!

Did you hear?!
We gave Merry Widow a nice makeover. Thanks to Bo Trails and Bozeman Handyman for some machine time. Road out to Landon’s landing is freshly graded, enjoy driving to the further trailhead with ease. Be sure to take a few laps on the nice new machine work on Merry Widow. Some features are blocked off but the trail is still open for riding. Enjoy and remember to join SWMMBA and our chapters on Hivepass. Your membership directly supports actions like these! Take a look at our events for upcoming dig days, likely will pop up after next round of moisture.

Big news! We are looking for some enthusiastic individuals to join our paid staff team as seasonal trail technicians. These individuals will help maintain trails amongst our local chapters as well as assist with needs across SW Montana. Applicants should be no stranger to trail maintenance efforts and be a kind steward for the land. Some changes this season! We’d love for all our friends to jump on it and follow our draft! We are now offering our members a one stop shop for all things biking across our service area and at the local chapter level. This new membership app will dramatically assist localized growth, structure and connectivity of our amazing communities. Follow all our chapters or just tune in to the ones that interests you most. All paid membership will receive amazing benefits and rewards so your dollars not only support trails, access, and projects but it also puts some money back in your pocket!
