A huge thank you to the Black Hills Fly Fishers for choosing Casting for Recovery-South Dakota as a beneficiary of their annual Big Auction! 💕🎣

Through the generosity of their members and supporters, they raised and donated $900 to help bring our South Dakota retreat to women affected by breast cancer.

We're incredibly grateful for partners like the Black Hills Fly Fishers who believe in our mission and help make these healing experiences possible. Your support helps provide connection, community, and time on the water for women who need it most.

Giving back to the waters that give us so much. 💙

Our Casting for Recovery-South Dakota volunteers were proud to help with the Rapid Creek Clean Up last Saturday during the Trout Not Trash beer release event. Thank you to everyone who came out to help keep this special fishery clean and healthy for future generations.

🌸 Apply now for the 2026 Casting for Recovery–South Dakota Retreat! 🌸

We’re inviting women at any stage of their breast cancer journey to join us for a free retreat in Waubay, SD, September 18–20, 2026. It’s a chance to step away from the day-to-day, spend time outdoors, and connect with others who understand.

You’ll learn the basics of fly fishing, enjoy time on the water, and be part of a supportive, low-pressure environment. No experience is needed. Just come as you are.

All meals, lodging, gear, and instruction are provided at no cost. Participants are only responsible for travel. Fourteen women will be randomly selected from eligible applicants.
