We are SO honored (and honestly, pretty excited!) that It Could Be Me gets to be a sponsor of Bike & Roll to School in Boulder for the 5th year in a row! 💚

What’s better than a morning full of bike buses, walking crews, big smiles, and an entire community rolling to school together?! 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️✨

This year was an absolute blast and a HUGE success! We love seeing our community come together, get moving, and start the school day with so much joy and energy. 🙌

From our dear friends at the League of American Bicyclists :🚨URGENT ACTION 🚨
This week, Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) funding is on the chopping block.
The Senate is preparing to pass a stopgap federal funding measure that wouldn’t extend this critical funding.
The SS4A program has made $5 billion over five years directly available to local communities who want to plan for and build safer roads for people walking, biking, taking transit, and driving. Without it, communities will not be able to access this funding to build safer roads.
Tell your senators: the transportation bill extension MUST include continued funding for SS4A.
Time is running out, with the Senate’s five-week summer recess starting this Friday.

Building on Minnesota Department of Transportation’s (Minnesota Department of Transportation) Electric-Assisted Bicycle Youth Operation Study published earlier this year, our project team created a suite of educational materials to make e-bike safety simple, clear, and shareable.

With bold visuals and age-specific messaging, these resources break down what counts as an e-bike (versus an e-moto), the rules of the road, and how to ride safely:

🚴 Did you know the Safety Stop is legal in Colorado?

This law allows people riding bikes to:
🔴 Treat red lights as stop signs
🛑 Treat stop signs as yield signs when it’s safe to do so.

Cyclists: Always look both ways, yield to anyone with the right of way, and wait for oncoming traffic to clear before proceeding.

We’re proud to help support our partners at CDOT in sharing this important safety reminder.

Let’s look out for each other on our roads. Together, we can make Colorado’s streets safer for everyone.

Usually, I post a picture with a cake to celebrate another year of life. But this year feels different. 🎓

This year, I’m celebrating in my cap and gown — not only another year of life, but also my degree from University of Colorado Boulder. 💛

Today, I will also have the opportunity to testify in support of SB26-072, legislation that would increase penalties for those who kill or seriously injure vulnerable road users on Colorado roads.

Eight years after my crash, I’m so grateful to still be here and incredibly thankful for everyone continuing to fight for safer roads for everyone. ❤️
