At the end of 2024 we introduced the second cohort of Ambassadors, and have spent the last year and a half sharing their incredible journeys: ncwit.org/blog/2025-aicstories-ambassadors

Their stories may be the words you need to hear to feel confident and inspired about your journey in tech! 😊

🌺 Gia Ramos: "The challenges we don’t expect are the ones that allow us to grow the most.”

🌼 Hope Chambers: "I've come to understand that it's okay not to have all the answers. Embracing the learning process, especially as a student, opens doors to knowledge and experiences that shape our future careers.”

🌹 Ashley Marie Lardizabal: "My journey may look different from the status quo, but beyond the way a story may end are the many possibilities in how it can continue.”

🌷Kaylie Sampson: “Being a first-generation college student and a woman in software engineering is not as easy as I thought it would be. But, I’m determined to not let that get in the way of my genuine passion for the technology space.”

🌻 Bryn Loftness: “Every place has its own culture, pace, and values, and learning to genuinely understand people in their own context has made me a better scientist, communicator, and founder.”

🌸 Neith Reid-EL: “Not being in a major tech city actually pushed me to build my own pathway. I learned that talent isn’t limited by geography, and with consistency, mentorship, and community, you can grow anywhere.”

We made so many wonderful memories at the 2026 at the University of Colorado Boulder!

Day Two ⛰️ We continued with breakout sessions and a plenary filled with practical strategies and new ideas to build a bright future, and celebrated changemakers within our ecosystem! Here are a few our favorite moments:

1️⃣-2️⃣ All smiles on the final day of the ! 😊 To start the day, Summit attendees had the option of selecting one of two breakout sessions

3️⃣ The first was led by Joe McBreen and Megan Ivory, and ignited “quantum curiosity” in participants to ensure today’s learners are ready to architect the next great computational frontier ⚛️

4️⃣ The second was a mini-plenary with NCWIT's very own Catherine Ashcraft and Sharmaine Jackson, focused on practical strategies for turning today’s turbulent climate into traction for sustained culture change 🔄 Remember, microbehaviors are contagious — improving everyday experiences helps to improve organizational policy

5️⃣-6️⃣ After the morning break, Marian Croak was recognized as the 2026 Pioneer in Tech Award recipient! With over 200 patents and as a pioneer of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), she inspired us all to believe in “the art of possible!” 🏆 Learn more about her enduring impact on tech communications in the NCWIT Media Hub: ncwit.org/blog/2026-ncwit-pioneer-in-tech-marian-croak

7️⃣ In the spirit of recognizing technologists from multiple generations, we then celebrated the 2026 NCWIT Aspirations in Computing Collegiate Award winners 🥇 These 12 technologists have made outstanding technical contributions to projects that demonstrate high levels of innovation and potential impact. Stay tuned for individual spotlights on the awardees coming soon!

8️⃣ To conclude this year’s Summit, Emily Pilloton-Lam — of Girls Garage — delivered an inspirational closing plenary on cultivating power in underestimated communities to change the authorship of our built environment 💪🏼

We’re so grateful for everyone that joined us in Boulder, Colorado! 🤩 Together we can continue building a future where technology reflects the best of what humanity can be (9️⃣)!
