Introducing my personal Great American Treasure …

💙💛 This is a bowl crafted from the cherry trees of Martin House Farm NSCDA MA Great American Treasures You may recognize Martin House Farm from our Thanksgiving issue of Dames Discovery, where we featured a seventh-generation Martin in prayer on the cover.

This remarkable bowl was turned by a neighbor of the farm, Henry Eliot. The wood itself comes from cherry trees harvested from the Martin House Farm property — connecting generations of history, stewardship, and tradition. His gift to me through Susan Butler for my work on Martin House Farm Committee. I intend to pass this treasure on for generations.

And, by the way, if you missed the article, our fields supply local food pantries from our harvests and our fields that have been under continuous cultivation for over THREE HUNDRED YEARS! 🌽

Today, the bowl sits on my kitchen counter: a constant reminder of how important our historic preservation efforts truly are. 🍒🏡🏚️

Ladies, Good Evening ⛄️ Who can guess why I’m reading this? And, why I splurged on a single print run?
