Global Deeds Foundation is a volunteer-based organization that works to empower youth living in poverty with the skill set needed for personal and career success. This results on direct impact created with 100% of your donations. We believe in effective and sustainable altruism. Our strategy is based on assisting public schools, youth nonprofits, and corporations to empower disadvantaged youths th

rough innovative education and employment opportunities. A GD Hub (a Global Deeds Hub) is an afternoon educational program within qualifying high schools, juvenile detention centers, social enterprises, NGOs, and juvenile homes, managed by the institution in collaboration with and sponsored by Global Deeds Foundation. This is accomplished through partnerships with a group of NGOs and social enterprises that are working towards the same mission of breaking through the poverty trap. Due to the nature of the operations of certain institutions, there are cases in which all that a GD Hub offers cannot be fully implemented, for example if the teens are only present for a limited amount of time, and not an entire academic year. If an institution does not have a computer lab, but is interested in the DigiWork certificate programs, funding or an in-kind donation request of equipment could be provided in order to conduct the programs. A minimum of 25 students per institution/center
2. Two teachers and three other Program Development Committee members
3. College interns (as needed)
4. High school juniors / senior teacher assistants (as needed)
5. Computer lab (both Mac and PC) with capacity for at least 25 students at a time, scanner, projector, paper and a printer

The GD Hub focuses on embracing self-sufficiency in students. Students start by becoming leaders of their own lives through the development of new skills. We intend to help students improve their self-esteem and their likelihood of obtaining dignifying work and attend a reputable educational institution at the college and graduate levels. The following are the main components of each GD Hub:

1. The DigiWork Academy (in collaboration with other NGOs and companies)

This program involves weekly workshops on:

Career/personal development
Business
Computers

2. MyGD Portal

This portal includes a list of the following kinds of opportunities available for youth sorted by country/city:

Jobs/internships/summer programs
Scholarships / Financial Assistance
Discounts
Shelters/housing opportunities & emergency aid
Conferences, Speaker Series (GDSS) & Competitions (Financial assistance for attendance)
Find a mentor and/or tutor
Volunteer/community work
Hotlines
Calendar of local community activities

Global Deeds is working in support of the 2030 agenda of the UN, focused on the Sustainable Development Goals #4 and #1. Upon achieving fundraising goals, the Global Deeds Foundation will be awarding grants to collaborating nonprofits that work in support of the same group we support.

Dear all,

We are deeply grateful for the honor to be invited to participate in the Transforming Global Education Summit 2026, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City this past week.

The Transforming Global Education Summit places education at the core of technological and national design. As innovation reshapes every sector, learning must evolve alongside it by becoming the infrastructure that connects human potential to digital progress. By aligning technology, capital, and governance, nations can modernize their learning systems, close capacity gaps, and build the skilled societies that the future demands.

Organized by PVBLIC and co-hosted by the Governments of Antigua and Barbuda, the Kingdom of Tonga and the Learning Economy Foundation, the summit brought together a cohort of exceptional speakers and high level officials who shared important ideas and challenges in the field of both public and private education.

Collaboration is key when striving to implement change. This international summit convenes Heads of State, multilateral leaders, technologists, philanthropists, and youths to reimagine and share ideas to redesign education systems taking into account resilience, innovation, inclusive prosperity, equity and justice.

We look forward to collaborating with this amazing effort and amplifying the voices of students, teachers, administrators and more legislators during this event every year.

In a rapidly evolving global landscape, collaboration is no longer optional—it is essential.

This past week, we had the honor of participating in several events at the United Nations, including the Global Engagement Summit 2026—the largest annual gathering of UN supporters in the United States. These convenings reaffirmed a powerful truth: meaningful change happens when the private sector, educational institutions, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations come together with a shared purpose.

We were also privileged to engage in a high-level leadership workshop focused on strengthening partnerships between Angola and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs)—a critical initiative centered on workforce development and global opportunity pipelines. A conference taking place in June of this year in Angola, will be a great opportunity to learn and build new relationships with institutions involved in the development of new employment pipelines in that country and beyond.

At Global Deeds, we are proud to serve as advisors to youth delegates within the UN ecosystem and to actively contribute to initiatives such as YPSF. The voices, ideas, and leadership of young people are not just inspiring—they are essential to solving the challenges of our time.
Now more than ever, we must invest in this generation—one that is navigating one of the most complex and uncertain employment landscapes in modern history.
Let’s continue building.
Let’s continue collaborating.
Let’s continue creating pathways to opportunity.

Dear Global Deeds Family,

Let us take this day to embrace the silence we need to listen—to our own hearts and to the hearts of others. If uncertainty is making you anxious or uneasy, let’s try changing how we FEEL about it and choose gratitude instead. Yes, I am grateful for the surprises that lie ahead. I am ready for any circumstance that may completely alter my plans, trusting that it will be the best path forward—even if, right now, I cannot imagine what that path looks like, I trust the “GPS of Life”. We will arrive together and in peace. How do you feel after imagining the possibility of a much better future? 😉

As an educator and social entrepreneur, 2025 has been a challenging year. However, there is a silver lining in everything we experience, and we are deeply grateful for the positive moments and progress that have emerged along the way.

We hope that those who follow our work also support public school educators, administrators, and staff, and remain committed to advancing the education of disadvantaged students at every level. Let us keep in mind the challenges future generations will face, which will directly affect every single one of us. They need us—as mentors, tutors, advocates, and providers of scholarship support.

Give what you can, and never stop giving. At the end, you will notice it was a major investment.

Enjoy the holiday season!

Visiting in NYC.

In Washington Heights, New York City, the poverty rate is approximately 19.2% according to the most recent data. This figure indicates that nearly one in five residents in the area live below the federal poverty line. This percentage is higher than the overall poverty rate for New York City, which stands around 18.3%.

We are planning grassroots activities within this community in New York.

Good morning! ☀️

A sincere THANK YOU to our sponsor company Think Equity and the New York Stock Exchange for once again hosting our students! They had an unforgettable day, and their enthusiasm for learning about finance, investment banking, and economics is truly inspiring.

We’re especially grateful to Caleb Lee (representing YPSF) for leading this outstanding group from NYC-area high schools:

Stuyvesant High School

The Bronx High School of Science

Baruch High School

Jericho High School

Brooklyn Technical High School

It was an honor to introduce the Global Deeds Civic Action Program to these students. We were incredibly impressed by their accomplishments and their commitment to giving back to society through civic engagement and promoting financial literacy. Their gratitude for this opportunity was truly moving.

We are proud to support this generation of future community leaders.

A special thanks also goes to Mr. Coll Kaverill, a parent who graciously served as a chaperone, and members of the NYSE for taking the time to guide and teach our group of students.

With gratitude,

-The Global Deeds Team
