Our Daily Walk Thoughts: Sacrifice
The thought of sacrifice has been on my mind lately.
What does it really mean to sacrifice? Whether it’s serving in the military, pouring into your community, or building something from the ground up—it always costs something. Time, comfort, moments you can’t get back.
Scripture reminds us of this kind of surrender. The disciples left everything. Moses walked away from comfort. Noah followed a calling that didn’t make sense to others.
And then there’s Jesus—who gave His life for us. The greatest sacrifice of all, so we could be free.
So what does it mean when He asks us to take up our cross daily ✝️ and follow Him?
Are we really losing something… or gaining far more than this world could ever offer?
Is prayer a sacrifice when it brings peace?
Is His Word a burden when it heals your soul?
Maybe sacrifice with God isn’t loss…
Maybe it’s exchange.
Less of the world—more of Him.
And in Him, we gain everything that truly matters.
