🇺🇸 Happy Flag Day from American Legion Auxiliary Unit 18! 🇺🇸

Today we honor the Stars and Stripes—the enduring symbol of our nation’s freedom, unity, and sacrifice.

For nearly 250 years, our flag has represented the courage of those who have defended our country and the values that bring us together as Americans. As members of the American Legion Auxiliary, we proudly support our veterans, active-duty military, and their families while preserving the patriotism that our flag inspires.

Take a moment today to display your flag proudly, reflect on what it represents, and remember those who have served to protect the freedoms it symbolizes.

❤️🤍💙 God Bless Our Veterans, Our Military, and the United States of America.

🇺🇸 20 More Members to 95%! We Can Do This, Unit 18! 🇺🇸

As the largest American Legion Auxiliary unit in Indiana, our strength has always come from members who believe in service, patriotism, and making a difference.

Today, we’re just 20 members away from reaching 95% of our membership goal!

Every membership renewal and every new member helps us:
❤️ Advocate for veterans and active-duty military
đź’™ Support military families
🤍 Serve children and youth
❤️ Strengthen programs that improve our local community
đź’™ Continue our mission of service right here in Bloomington and beyond

Our work matters. The impact we make together is felt by veterans, families, and neighbors throughout our community. Reaching this goal isn’t just about a number—it’s about ensuring we have the resources and voices needed to continue doing great things.

If you haven’t renewed yet, now is the perfect time. If you know someone eligible to join, invite them to become part of our Auxiliary family.

20 members. One team. One mission. Let’s finish strong and show what Unit 18 can accomplish together!

🎉🍷 Get Ready for the Liquor Pull at the Riders Rally! 🏍️🍻

One of the most popular activities at this year’s Riders Rally is the Liquor Pull Fundraiser, and you won’t want to miss it!

What is a Liquor Pull?
For $20, you’ll randomly select a numbered cork that corresponds to a mystery bottle. Every bottle is worth your luck —and many are worth much more than $20.
You could walk away with anything from a favorite wine or spirit to a premium bottle donated by our generous supporters.

✨ It’s fun.
✨ It’s exciting.
✨ And every pull supports programs that benefit veterans, military families, and our local community.

Whether you’re a seasoned rider, a supporter of our mission, or just looking for a great time, stop by and try your luck!

Celebrating the more than 250-year legacy of women’s service to our Nation

4PM Reception | 5PM Program (In-person and Virtual)

Honor the past, celebrate the present, and ignite the future!

This Military Women’s Memorial event is made possible by the generous support of Amazon Military.

On June 12, 2026, we invite you to stand with us at the Military Women’s Memorial for a powerful evening of honor, inspiration, and celebration—as we mark our Nation’s 250th birthday and more than 250 years of women’s service to our country.

Before there was a country—she was there.
She served when she wasn’t allowed to.
She stepped forward when others said no.
She carried the mission, broke barriers, and built a legacy that continues to shape our Nation today.

This Women Veterans Recognition Day also commemorates the 78th anniversary of the Women’s Armed Services Integration Act—the moment women earned a permanent place in the U.S. military. But her story didn’t begin there—and it doesn’t end there.

Each generation has stood on the shoulders of those who came before—pushing further, reaching higher. Because of them, the next generation stands taller, prouder, and more inspired to serve.

Celebrate Her Service. Share Her Legacy. Inspire the Next Generation.

We are honored to welcome Kate Andersen Brower, co-author of “We The Women” with Norah O’Donnell, who will join us for this meaningful occasion and lend her voice to this powerful tribute.

This is more than a celebration—it’s a declaration: Her story has shaped our history, defines our present, and empowers our future.

Announcement worth reading…. VA announces clinical trial to treat PTSD!

PTSD continues to impact countless veterans and military families, and research into innovative treatments offers hope for those who have not found relief through traditional therapies alone.

This study will examine whether MDMA-assisted therapy, combined with professional psychotherapy, can safely improve outcomes for veterans struggling with severe trauma-related conditions.

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs today announced a new clinical trial to evaluate the safety and efficacy of methylenedioxymethamphetamine-assisted therapy, or MDMA-assisted therapy, for the treatment of severe mental health disorders, including posttraumatic stress disorder and alcohol use disorder.

“We need an all-of-the-above strategy when it comes to improving mental health treatments, and under President Trump, that’s exactly what VA is working to deliver,” said VA Secretary Doug Collins. “This trial represents an important step in safely evaluating new approaches and innovations to treat Veterans with severe mental health conditions.”
