A band of criminals, torn apart by suspicion and betrayal, reunites for one last job. The target: a multi-million dollar ruby owned by an international jewel thief. When the plan goes sideways, they slowly realize that when stealing from a thief, there are no rules.

When an audience member tells you “the nose was everything,” you put that on the poster. 👃😂

Our dress rehearsal audience had plenty more to say after dress rehearsal: the costumes, the performances, the acting, and an emphatic “SO freaking good!!” We’ll take it. ❤️

An incredible amount of work has gone into creating the world you’ll see onstage, from the performances at its center to the costumes, props, combat, design and, yes, one rather important nose. Now all we need is an audience.

One of our dress rehearsal audience members came away with opinions about Cyrano’s choices and praise for the poetry, wit, emotion, and performances that bring his complicated love story to life.

And we love that, because Cyrano gives you plenty to talk about afterward. What would you have done differently? When should the truth have come out? Would Roxanne really have loved Cyrano if she'd known? And how much of what keeps these characters apart is circumstance? How much is themselves?

It can be wildly funny one moment and unexpectedly moving the next. There’s action and spectacle, but beneath it all are questions about love, courage, friendship, identity, and what happens when fear keeps us from saying the things that matter most. In other words: you’re in for a ride.

Some stories entertain us. Others find the places where our own lives and emotions intersect with the story being told. A member of our dress rehearsal audience shared how deeply the final moments of Cyrano landed for her and how the emotion onstage became real for those watching, too.

That connection between actor and audience is one of the things that makes live theater unlike anything else. We tell the story together in a room, and for a few hours, what happens to these characters can feel like it happens to all of us.

Look closer. 🌹

Before an actor speaks a word, a world has already been built around them.

A medal fastened to a soldier’s coat. The tools tucked into a pastry cook’s apron. A sweep of feathers. Pearls, lace and embroidery. Some of the smallest things you’ll see onstage in “Cyrano” carry an extraordinary amount of care.

Costumes and props don't simply dress a production. They help tell its story. They suggest rank and occupation, wealth and taste, history and personality. And behind every detail are the hands of artists and craftspeople who have spent countless hours choosing, finding, building, sewing, altering, embellishing and imagining.

You may never consciously notice every stitch, every bit of trim, every carefully chosen accessory. But you would notice if they weren't there.

So we're offering just a few close-up glimpses of the beautiful details helping bring the world of Cyrano to life. Because sometimes the magic of theater is hiding in plain sight.
