North Dakota REALTORS are in DC this week advocating for homeownership and private property rights. Smaller group this year of 23 but they are ready to attend meetings, education sessions and learn. Sunday was a full day, and half the group gathered at Founding Farmers restaurant, owned by ND Farmers Union, for dinner and a walk back to the hotel with some fun sights on the way.
NAR CEO Nykia Wright and President Kevin Brown kicked it off by giving an update on the NAR Strategic Plan followed by a session on the 2026 national election landscape and was great to hear different perspectives. Committee meetings, sessions on AI, changes coming to appraisal process followed by NAR staff and More Homes on the Market act.
Today are more committee meetings, roundtables, networking and tonight many will be enjoying the evening walking around the monuments. Wednesday we will be walking the halls of Capitol Hill to talk with our members of congress on issues important to us.
Thank you to those members who made the trip to be there. Summertime is precious in ND but yet they are here for five to six days to advocate for our industry and their clients. They gave up time away from family, commitments, clients and are here making a change.
If you see them when they return back home, please say thank you because it is a commitment.
