Hello everyone - I'm starting this page to build interest in a dream of mine - watching movies on the ND Capitol Mall with family, friends and anyone else who loves movies. We wouldn't always play family films, but they certainly wouldn't be R-rated slashers either. The plan is to take my campaign to the State Senate during the upcoming session because I would love this event to begin in the summe

r of 2012. There will be concessions (I'd love to get the Grand Theatres to co-sponsor) and plenty of mosquito repellent :)
In the meantime, I would like to begin building an audience of people who would be willing to pay $1 to watch movies under the stars on the mall (this would also be a fundraiser for a local charity).

Two days - two outdoor movies in town this weekend! Come out and support these wonderful events - TONIGHT (Friday the 13th) the Downtowners are showing "Back to the Future" on the courthouse lawn. Then TOMORROW (Saturday the 14th) Mandan Park District is showing "42" @8:30pm at the Memorial Ballpark! Both events are FREE :-)

ATTENTION BMMotM FANS! We are now accepting "applications" for a very small board of movie-loving members to help get this off the ground the right way which may include a winter indoor/spring outdoor teaser series early next year! We're in need of $$$ to rent/purchase the proper gear to be able to accommodate a very large group of viewers - large enough to fill at least a quarter of the Mall (of course we eventually want the audience to be MUCH larger).
