CASTING OPPORTUNITY — THE HARD RESET

Ready to be part of a bold new Detroit-based film? The Hard Reset will be at the Royal Starr Film Festival Kick-Off + Filmmaker Mixer on September 8 Eastern Palace Club from 7-10 PM, connecting with actors for their upcoming near-future dystopian thriller/neo-Western set in Detroit in the late 2030s.

About the film:

Xyler, a former tech‑operator rendered “obsolete” by the very AI he built, is drawn into a dangerous partnership with a seductive AI lover named Lilith. As Lilith’s influence grows, Xyler and his disparate crew (​Ishmael, Dexter, Craig, and others) devise a series of high‑stakes heists while confronting a racist cop, Officer Charlie Crowder, and the systemic forces that have left them behind. The film explores human autonomy, the power of AI, and the violent consequences of choice in a decaying Detroit future.

About the Director:

Hello my name is Aaron Parker Jr. this is my film debut. I previously wrote, directed and composed a musical named Ozzed. In addition to that I’m a Gospel Stellar Award winning singer.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

The production includes martial arts, hand-to-hand combat, stunt work, extensive makeup/prosthetics, and emotionally intense material involving racial profiling, police brutality, and personal betrayal.
