What a day for our 1st Annual Sky Golf Classic!

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Oakhurst Golf & Country Club and helped make our inaugural outing such a memorable success — even a little rain couldn’t dampen the spirit of this incredible group!

We are so grateful to our golfers, sponsors, donors, volunteers, committee members and supporters who came together to Drive Toward a Cure for pancreatic cancer.

A Sky Full of Possibilities. 💜✨

The 2026 Night Sky Gala is officially here.

Join us on Thursday, October 8 at Saint John’s Resort for an inspiring evening bringing together survivors, families, physicians, researchers and supporters committed to accelerating progress in pancreatic cancer.

This year, we’re bringing leaders from across Michigan’s major health systems to the same stage for a featured conversation on awareness, prevention, early detection, surgical care, treatment and clinical trials — and what that progress means for patients today. We’ll also hear a powerful advocacy story from Dr. Laura Makaroff of the American Cancer Society.

The evening will also include the first look at the Sky Companion App, recognition of our 2026 funded researchers, the Shine Like Sheila Award, silent and live auctions, w**e raffle and more.

BIG NEWS for pancreatic cancer patients. 💜

The FDA has approved daraxonrasib, a new treatment for previously treated metastatic pancreatic cancer.
In the Phase 3 trial, median overall survival was 13.2 months with daraxonrasib vs. 6.7 months with standard chemotherapy.

But this isn't only about more time. More time can mean more options—another treatment, an emerging targeted therapy, a clinical trial, or simply the opportunity for the next breakthrough to arrive.

For a disease where options have historically been far too limited, this is what progress looks like. 💜

💜 Happy Birthday, Sheila Sky Kasselman.

Today, we celebrate the woman who started it all.

As a 16-year pancreatic cancer survivor, Sheila knew firsthand the fear that comes with this diagnosis—but she also knew the power of optimism, connection, and refusing to accept the odds.

She founded Sky Foundation with a vision to create a better future for those facing pancreatic cancer. Today, that vision continues through the researchers we fund, the patients and families we support, the awareness we spread, and the incredible community that carries her mission forward.

Sheila may no longer be here to celebrate with us, but her impact shines through every survivor, patient, volunteer, board and committee member continuing this mission.

Today, on her birthday, we celebrate her life, her strength, and the legacy that continues to move us forward.

Happy Birthday, Sheila. Your light still shines through Sky. 💜✨
