We say farewell to Menelaos Tzelios, former President of the Panepirotic Federation of America, whose unwavering dedication to Hellenism and tireless advocacy for the Greek minority of Northern Epirus left a lasting mark on our community. Through his leadership and conviction for his ancestral homeland, he inspired others. We remember him with gratitude and respect, and we pray that his legacy continues to inspire. Αιωνία του η Μνήμη.

A statement from our President:

We strongly condemn the brutal attacks on ethnic Greeks in Tsevernitsa (Zvërnec) seeking to protect the land that had belonged to their families for generations. These images serve as a troubling reminder of continued violations of basic rights in Albania including the minority rights of the ethnic Greeks. Such incidents underscore the patterns of intimidation that undermine Albanian society and also violate fundamental freedoms of the ethnic Greek community. We appreciate the involvement of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs and request a thorough investigation into the matter and demand better outcomes for the ethnic minority.
