Learn the foundations of animation using Adobe After Effects!

In this hands-on workshop, we’ll explore the core principles that make animation feel clear, intentional, and engaging, while getting comfortable with the basic tools and workflow of After Effects.

You’ll learn how to:
Create simple animations
Understand keyframes
Experiment with timing and movement-Start building confidence with the software

This workshop is ideal for beginners, creatives, students, or anyone curious about animation and motion design. It’s also a great opportunity to get help with a current project, brainstorm ideas, or explore what After Effects can do.
No prior experience is needed. Bring your curiosity, questions, and any project ideas you’d like to work through.

We had such a great time at last night's workshop exploring video editing on your phone for social media. Folks learned how to use the app Instagram Edits and many of the important tips that make an engaging reel. There's always something cool happening at Historic Beverly but their LEGO exhibit during Beverly Homecoming was extra special! Beverly's own Shawn-Paul Filtrani recreated some of the town's iconic buildings for the exhibit "Building Beverly: 400 Years in the Bricks."
