Today is World Mental Health Day! Mental health challenges among young people are growing — but with the right support, anything is possible. At Express Yourself, we believe in the power of creativity to build resilience, foster belonging, and help youth discover their inner strength. Thousands of young people have found connection and confidence through our year-round arts-immersion programs. Whether dancing, drumming, painting, or performing, EXYO youth explore their creativity in ways that support emotional growth and build lasting community. Let’s Celebrate the Power of Creativity - join us for ROADTRIP on Thursday, May 27, 2027 at the Boch Center–Wang Theatre to experience the magic for yourself. More info at EXYO.org 💚

Endicott College hosted us for our Bloom Pop Up Exhibition Reception at the Manninen Center for the Arts. Local educators attended a workshop to earn PDP’s focusing on expressive therapies and integrating arts in the curriculum for their classrooms and schools. It was a joyful afternoon full of inspiration, art, music, and creativity. A special Thank you to Tim Hansen, Dr. Goodale-O’Brien and Dr. Gilman for hosting our team of artists who provided the Express Yourself experience!

Ricky Duran will be in the studio throughout this year collaborating on performance songs with our youth for the upcoming show, ROAD TRIP in May. We’re incredibly honored to receive a grant from The Busyhead Project, founded by Noah Kahan. 💚🌲 Express Yourself was chosen to represent our organization at Noah Kahan’s Fenway Park Concerts this summer.

Express Yourself is deeply grateful to The Busyhead Project and Noah Kahan for believing in our work and investing in young people, creativity, and mental health. Together, we’re building communities where connection, self-expression, and hope can thrive.

BLOOM celebrates the creative growth that unfolds when young people are given the space to express themselves freely. Throughout the year, participants explored what it means to nurture ideas, take creative risks, and flourish together through the arts. We can’t wait to share the joy, color, and imagination that continue to BLOOM from their incredible season of work that culminated center stage at the Wang Theater in front of an audience of 1500.
