Special announcement! We’re turning up the heat for our June Sarau de Samba: Festa Junina Edition at Glen Echo Park 🔥 will be on site grilling fresh espetinhos (Brazilian BBQ meat skewers), and Praline Bakery will sell Brazilian drinks and salgadinhos from —your cravings will be more than satisfied 😋 This month, we’ll be outside in the Bumper Car Pavilion with tables to reserve and lots of room to dance samba and forró. Join our Sarau de Samba band and special guest Gigi “Macaxeira” MacLaughlin for live music, dance, delicious food, and a warm, welcoming community.

Back by popular demand, our Summer Samba Challenge! Join us for our 4-week Summer Samba Challenge to tone your body, build and polish your samba dance technique, and experience other dances of Brazil! Starting next month, EducArte is offering weekly 2-hour fitness and Brazilian dance classes in Rockville on Tuesdays. The classes are taught by our experienced Brazilian dance instructors: Mariana Triginelli, Luy Cortes, Kate Spanos, and Pablo Regis. Each class will start with a low/medium impact bootcamp, followed by samba no pé technique, and wrapping up with a different Brazilian dance taster each week (including frevo, axé, toada, lambada, and capoeira!). It’s going to be 🔥

Vem participar em nosso Summer Samba Challenge para aprimorar sua técnica de samba no pé e experimentar outras danças do Brasil! A partir do próximo mês, a EducArte está oferecendo aulas semanais de fitness e dança brasileira de 2 horas em Rockville às terças-feiras. As aulas são ministradas por nossos instrutores de dança brasileira: Mariana Triginelli, Luy Cortes, Kate Spanos e Pablo Regis. Sarau de Samba: Festa Junina edition is coming up on Sunday, June 7! 🤠 We have lots of special treats in store for you. This sarau will take place outdoors in the Bumper Car Pavilion at Glen Echo Park, giving us even more room to dance! The set list will include forró and other Festa Junina favorites (quadrilha, anyone?), alongside our roots samba classics, and we’ll be joined by this month’s special guest, our beloved Gigi “Macaxeira” MacLaughlin. The event will run for an extra hour (until 6 pm), and we will also have Brazilian food trucks on site to satisfy your cravings! We will be posting more details about food offerings and other details soon. Mark your calendars and get your tickets now!
