Hi local 1972 siblings. I am sure some of you are aware of the strike that is taking place in Three Rivers, MI at American Axle. Local 2093. Our international Rep Frank Jimmy Hines is leading their negotiations. I asked Frank today what could we do to come support them. He said for us to go to their Union Hall and sign up and they will take us to walk the line. I have had some of our membership talk to me about this strike and I told them, this is one of the biggest reasons we pay union dues. Everyone in the UAW contributes to this strike fund. When the time comes and we need to fight just like American Axle is then we can and we will receive $500 a week while on strike. Sometimes you need to get this far and push the company in the corner and come together for the betterment of you and your family. IN SOLIDARITY AND UAW STRONG!. Here is the address for local 2093

Hola, compañeros de la Sección Local 1972. Estoy seguro de que algunos de ustedes ya saben de la huelga que se está llevando a cabo en Three Rivers, Michigan, en la planta de American Axle (Sección Local 2093). Nuestro representante internacional, Frank "Jimmy" Hines, está liderando sus negociaciones. Hoy le pregunté a Frank qué podíamos hacer para ir a apoyarlos; me dijo que fuéramos a su sede sindical para registrarnos y que ellos nos llevarían a participar en el piquete de huelga. Hi Local 1972 family. Our union board has nomination sheets out for 2 delegates to attend the 39th Constitutional Convention in Detroit in June. There is also nomination sheets for 2 Executive Board positions, Sargent at Arms and Recording Secretary. Your attendance at the monthly membership meeting is required and you must always let me know if you can't attend. Rule is must attend 2 out of 3 meetings. And there is also a nomination sheet up for 3rd shift Union Rep at Ox Creek. Thank you 😊

La Junta Directiva de nuestro sindicato ha puesto a disposición las hojas de nominación para elegir a 2 delegados que asistirán a la 39.ª Convención Constitucional en Detroit el próximo mes de junio. También hay hojas de nominación para 2 cargos de la Junta Ejecutiva: el de Sargento de Armas y el de Secretario de Actas. Su asistencia a la reunión mensual de miembros es obligatoria; deben informarme siempre si no pueden asistir. La norma establece que es requisito asistir a 2 de cada 3 reuniones. Además, hay una hoja de nominación disponible para el puesto de Representante Sindical del tercer turno en Ox Creek. ¡Gracias! 😊
