The story was right here the whole time. 🏘️🖤

I recently toured the house of david in benton harbor and it stopped me in my tracks. a baseball team. an amusement park. a zoo. all of it right in our backyard. most of us drive past it every single day.

That tour made me ask: what else are we missing on our own blocks?

September’s roots & routes is going neighborhood deep. our stories are there too and we are going to find them.
