Meet Kelly Evert and Paul Hanson. 2/3 of the trio that own and operate Village Books and Paper Dreams. All three former employees and leadership team that eventually took on the reins of the business from the founders Dee and Chuck Robinson. In this episode, Kelly and Paul talk about their journey in the world of books, what it's like to co-own and operate between three different business owners and all the hows and whys behind choosing what books to stock. Plus, we get into the ways that Village Books and Paper Dreams has connected with the community, the neurological magic of picking up and reading a physical book, and all the reasons why it's vital for us all to never lose the art of reading for yourself.

Popped into FLOURISH yesterday for Pure Bliss Desserts's 16th Birthday Celebration and just had to get their spooky Italian Soda; The Witch's Brew!

We recently paid a visit to both campuses of Whatcom Museum and had a blast viewing all of the different exhibits on display at both Old City Hall and The Lightcatcher.

Q3 of 2026 is in the books, and our team continued our 8+ year tradition of making a donation for every home sold. This quarter, we were thrilled to make a $3,100 donation to The Downtown Bellingham Partnership (DBP)!

The DBP does incredible work leading initiatives that strive to keep our Downtown a thriving and inclusive community; one that is connected by the patrons and business owners that spend time there.

One of the many cool things that's been happening this week is the City of Bellingham, hosting an open vote for what our official City Bird should be!

Our crew got into the spirit by trying to guest what some of the finalist birds from the 10 prospective winners sounded like and it got...interesting.
