4th Corner Fly Fishers

4th Corner Fly Fishers Fly Fishing Club, Bellingham WA Thus, the FOURTH CORNER FLY FISHERS. The FCFF is active in the educational arena.

About our club...
On April 12, 1972, a group of ten Bellingham, WA area men sharing common interests in the sport of fly fishing, conservation of our fishery resources and the natural environment, organized a club dedicated to those interests. Major environmental and stream restoration projects have included Little Deer Creek (tributary of the Stillaquamish), Nesset Creek (tributary of the Nooksac

k), and Boy Creek Interpretive Salmon Center in cooperation with the National Forest Service. For many years the FCFF has acted as steward for Squalicum Lake, one of the few "Fly Fishing Only" lakes in the county. The club maintains a creel census station constructed by the members at the entrance to the lake. The club works with the Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association (NSEA) both financially and providing volunteer labor on local rivers and for conservation projects. We are actively working with Western Washington University on programs related to environmental, entomology, fly fishing, fly tying, and resource conservation. The programs are offered to youth groups such as the FFA and the Four H clubs as well as other local groups. Fellowship among club members is perhaps one of the most rewarding aspects of membership. The FCFF club has monthly meetings, year around club outings, and fundraising auctions and raffles.
