✨❤️ Happy Juneteenth from H2L Community ❤️✨

Today, we honor Juneteenth a powerful day of remembrance, freedom, resilience, and truth.

June 19, 1865 marks the day the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston learned they were free .. more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. Juneteenth reminds us that freedom delayed is still injustice, and that the fight for dignity, equality, and opportunity continues.

At H2L, we believe community care is liberation in action.

Every meal shared.
Every safe night provided.
Every resource connection made.
Every person seen, heard, and valued.

That is what freedom in action looks like.

Today we celebrate the strength of those who came before us, the progress we continue to fight for, and the future we are building together.

May we continue to uplift one another, stand for justice, and lead with compassion.

We have an exciting library update to share!

The City of Baytown has approved an agreement with Goose Creek CISD that will allow us to use the former San Jacinto Elementary campus on Virginia Street as a future temporary home while plans move forward for the library renovation and ExxonMobil Baytown Events Center project.

But, wait...don't start packing your library books just yet! We are not moving at this time. We will continue serving the community at our current location, and additional details and timelines will be shared as plans are finalized.

In the meantime, come visit your local library and don't forget to share the updates with your library friends! 📚✨

We are currently in need of clothing donations for adults in our community.

Women’s Clothing Needed
• Shorts & pants — sizes 5–8
• Shirts — Small to Medium

Men’s Clothing Needed
• Pants & shorts — sizes 30–34
• Shirts — Medium to Large

Additional Needs
• Socks
• Belts — high need, as several are specifically requesting belts to help keep their britches up

We gladly accept clean, gently used, or new items.

Every donation helps someone meet an immediate need and brings comfort, dignity, and support during a difficult time.
