LSU Foundation Board of Directors member Roy O. Martin III was awarded an honorary Doctor of Engineering degree last week in recognition of his enduring impact on LSU and the future of engineering in Louisiana.

A two-time LSU alumnus with a degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA, Roy’s leadership and generosity have played pivotal roles in elevating academic excellence and in positioning LSU as a driver of progress for the state and beyond. The results are in, and we have a winner! Congratulations to the LSU College of Music & Dramatic Arts for claiming the top spot in the inaugural Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry Crown & Scepter Challenge during LSU Giving Day, with an incredible 130.77% increase in donors over last year!

(Shoutout to the LSU College of Art + Design for a strong second-place finish with an 88.76% increase in donors!)
