Our Story

Louisiana Clean Fuels is a US Department of Energy Clean Cities Coalition supported by the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources and member organizations. We are a non-profit organization serving fleets for over 17 years.

The mission of Louisiana Clean Fuels, Inc. is to advance the nation’s environmental, economic, and energy security by supporting local actions to diversify transportation fuel options. As a member of the DOE’s Clean Cities Program, LCF is a fuel-neutral organization. Our stakeholders include equipment manufacturers, fuel suppliers, fleet managers, planners, engineers, economists, and industry associations nationwide. We focus especially on vehicle and fueling station projects for heavy-duty fleets such as refuse and recycling trucks, freight and package delivery trucks, transit and school buses, and airport, campus, and government. Louisiana has two designated Clean Cities programs: Louisiana Clean Fuels (LCF) and the Southeast Louisiana Clean Fuel Partnership (covering the greater New Orleans area). The LCF territory includes 57 parishes, covering all of Louisiana except for those parishes covered by Southeast Louisiana Clean Fuel Partnership, namely: Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Tammany, St. Charles, St. John the Baptist, and Tangipahoa.
