As an organization dedicated to serving women, PIVOT recognizes the importance of observing both Domestic Violence Awareness Month and Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

These issues touch the lives of women, families, and communities—including those we serve. This October, we stand with survivors, honor those we have lost, and raise awareness about women’s safety, health, and well-being.

Every woman deserves to feel safe, supported, and heard. Together, let’s share awareness, check in on one another, and support women on their journeys toward healing and hope.

On August 5, 2026, PIVOT joined reentry advocates, community leaders, and supporters at City Hall in Baltimore for a public hearing addressing an important conversation: Post-Incarceration Syndrome (PICS).

Coming home is only the beginning. The impact of incarceration can follow individuals long after release—affecting mental health, relationships, employment, and the ability to adjust to everyday life.

PIVOT’s Executive Director Veronica Jackson and ReEntry Manager Carlita Brown gave testimony, sharing perspectives shaped by both frontline work and lived experience.

Their message was clear: successful reentry takes more than opening the prison gates. Returning citizens need trauma-informed care, meaningful resources, opportunities, and a community prepared to support the whole person.

NOW IS THE TIME TO TURN AWARENESS INTO ACTION.

Listen to lived experience.
Support reentry organizations.
Advocate for trauma-informed resources.
And don’t let this conversation end at City Hall.

There’s something powerful about a circle where women feel safe enough to simply be.

A circle filled with sisterhood, love, stability, vulnerability, and grace. A space where walls can come down, stories can be shared, and no one has to navigate the journey alone.

At PIVOT, we understand that growth doesn’t always happen in a straight line. Sometimes it happens through tears, honest conversations, encouragement, accountability, and the strength of the woman standing beside you.

This is what growth looks like.
Being vulnerable enough to heal.
Being supported enough to grow.
Becoming stable enough to build.
And becoming whole enough to help another woman rise.

Because when women come together in a safe circle, we don’t just survive—we PIVOT, we grow, and we rise together.

Youth Night Out at The Bank!

There’s nothing like a night game under the lights!
Our youth had an amazing time experiencing the energy and atmosphere of the first preseason game as the Baltimore Ravens took on the Philadelphia Eagles — and of course, it was even better with a RAVENS WIN!

From the excitement in the stands to watching the stadium light up once the sun went down, it was definitely a night to remember.
