Today, the Phi Theta Kappa: Phi Upsilon chapter installed new members and officers! The ceremony was held on the Coastal Alabama Community College Thomasville campus.

The new members inducted are:

Last day of Catalyst!!

We have loved every second of Catalyst 2026. Today we heard from speaker Sebastian Terry, who is a best-selling author and founder of the “100 Things” Philanthropic movement. His speech was very encouraging and positive.

Sebastian Terry points out that we as a community are “Strong alone, but better together.”

We also had an amazing time at the Awards Gala and Dinner. We are so grateful for this experience! Phi Upsilon is so proud to be a part of Phi Theta Kappa.

Today was so much fun! Catalyst 2026 has been so exciting. Today we attended general sessions two and three, and a college fair! We also decorated bookmarks for children’s books and played games at the opportunity expo!

Our speakers today were Dr. Lynn Tincher-Ladner, President and CEO of Phi Theta Kappa, and Amanda Nguyen who is a Vietnamese American civil rights activist and an astronaut. Both speakers had very influential talks, encouraging us to persevere and succeed in all aspects.

Dr. Lynn Tincher-Ladner spoke on intentionally focusing on our own personal strengths and the strengths of others, rather than becoming critics and focusing on weaknesses.

Amanda Nguyen spoke about her own experiences as a civil rights activist and astronaut. She was extremely encouraging and made the statement “Our dreams are never out of sight.”

We can’t wait for tomorrow!!

What a great day🤩🤩

Today the PTK: Phi Upsilon chapter attended an inner harbor tour, visited Edgar Allen Poe’s memorial, and learned about the Baltimore orioles. We also had fun in the PTK opportunity expo and first general session where we heard from our international PTK officers and the governor of Maryland, Wes Moore. We cannot wait for the rest of catalyst 2026 in Baltimore, Maryland!

Today was day two for the Coastal Alabama Community College PTK: Phi Upsilon Chapter!! At the Alabama Regional Convention we received the following awards:
