June marks the beginning of Hurricane Season and preparedness is an act of care for ourselves, our families, and our communities. 💙

As healers, helpers, and leaders, we understand that emergencies impact mental health just as much as physical safety. Being prepared can reduce stress, increase resilience, and help communities recover stronger together.

This month, we encourage everyone to:

• Review emergency plans
• Check emergency kits
• Update medications and important documents
• Support elders and vulnerable neighbors
• Prioritize emotional wellness during times of uncertainty

It is not too late to prepare.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the healers out there. 🌷

Today, we honor the mothers, mother figures, caregivers, aunties, grandmothers, nurturers, and community healers who pour love, care, wisdom, and strength into others every single day.

As you continue to heal, support, guide, and hold space for others, we want to gently remind you: your care matters too.

Rest is not selfish.
Joy is not optional.
Self-care is part of the healing work.

May today be a moment for you to breathe, receive love, and remember that you are worthy of the same tenderness you give so freely.

With gratitude,
All Healers Mental Health Alliance

Mental health is health, for the community and for the healers.

At All Healers Mental Health Alliance, we believe healing begins when people feel seen, heard, supported, and safe enough to be honest about what they are carrying.

During Mental Health Awareness Month, we also honor the healers, caregivers, advocates, clinicians, faith leaders, organizers, and community members who pour into others every day.

Self-care is not selfish. It is how we sustain the work of healing.

This month, we invite you to check in on yourself and someone you love. Rest when you need to. Ask for support. Create space to breathe, reflect, grieve, and recover.

Together, we can build communities where mental health is honored, stigma is reduced, and healing includes the healers too.

Spring invites us to pause and notice what renewal can look like in our own lives. 🌱🌸

For many, this season holds spiritual meaning through Easter and traditions of hope, reflection, and renewal. For others, it may simply be a time to reconnect with nature, embrace new beginnings, and honor the beauty of growth all around us.

As the flowers bloom and new life emerges, spring reminds us that healing can be gentle, growth can be gradual, and renewal often begins in small, quiet ways.

This season, may we all find space to breathe deeply, reconnect with what grounds us, and welcome what is ready to bloom within and around us.

Wishing you a season of peace, restoration, and fresh possibility. 🌼✨

Today we pause to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Faye Gary, EdD, RN, FAAN, a visionary nurse leader, mentor, and champion for mental health equity who passed away at the age of 85.

Dr. Gary dedicated more than five decades to advancing child and adolescent mental health, addressing health disparities, and mentoring the next generation of nurses and leaders.

A Distinguished University Professor at Case Western Reserve University and a 2024 American Academy of Nursing Living Legend, her impact reached far beyond the classroom. She helped shape national health policy, secured millions in research funding, and most importantly opened doors for students who dreamed of a better future through education.

Dr. Gary believed deeply in the power of mentorship and community. Through her work with students and organizations like All Healers Mental Health Alliance, she uplifted emerging leaders and inspired countless individuals to pursue careers that improve the health and well-being of others.

Her words continue to guide us:
"Look to the horizon to see what’s not there, what could be there, and how you could make a difference."

We are grateful for her life, her leadership, and the legacy she leaves behind. Her legacy will continue to inspire us!

Rest in power, Dr. Gary.

Honoring Black History Month Through Community, Culture & Collective Power

Black History Month is not only a time to reflect on our history, it’s a time to gather, learn, celebrate, and take action together. In the spirit of collective healing, leadership, and joy, All Healers Mental Health Alliance (AHMHA) is sharing a few upcoming community-centered events that uplift Black excellence, intergenerational learning, and civic engagement.

Whether you’re drawn to strategic thinking through chess, cultural exploration and education, or movement-building for justice, these events offer meaningful ways to connect, reflect, and show up during Black History Month.

✨ Community highlights include:
♟️ A Black History Month Chess Simul in the Bronx featuring Grandmaster Brewington Hardaway, blending strategy, mentorship, and community celebration
🏛️ A free group trip to the National Museum of African American History & Culture in Washington, DC, offering space for learning, reflection, and shared experience
✊🏾 A Freedom February Kickoff Call hosted by Movement for Black Lives (M4BL), inviting community members to take action and stay engaged in ongoing movements for liberation

We encourage you to explore, share, and participate in ways that feel aligned for you. Black history is living history and community care is part of how we honor it.

💛 Because healing, resistance, and joy all belong in the same room.
