During Nurse’s Week, alumnae of the historic Bon Secours School of Nursing gathered at the Community Resource Center to reconnect, reflect, and celebrate a legacy of service that has shaped Baltimore for generations. 💙

Though the school’s final class graduated around 1970, the impact of these nurses and their connection to the Bon Secours ministry continues to be felt across our communities today. Their decades-long relationship with Baltimore, and with the mission of “Good Help,” remains a powerful reminder of the lasting difference compassionate care can make.

Guests heard updates on the ongoing impact of Bon Secours Community Works from Executive Director Ruben Chandrasekar and listened to inspiring stories from current and recent Nursing Assistant Training Program participants beginning their own journeys in healthcare. 🩺✨

Bringing together past and future generations of caregivers made for a meaningful celebration of service, community, and the enduring spirit of Bon Secours.

Earlier this month, our Bon Secours Community Schools team celebrated the incredible educators who make a difference every day during Teacher Appreciation Week! 🍎💙

We were proud to recognize the dedicated teachers across our four Community Schools sites and Early Head Start program for the important role they play in shaping the future leaders of Baltimore and beyond.

Thanks to the support of several amazing community partners, we were able to help make the week extra special with lunches, gift cards, and prizes for our hardworking educators.

Huge congratulations to the latest graduates of our RCP TYRO program! 🎓💙

Seven participants recently completed the TYRO curriculum, taking major steps toward their personal and professional goals. Just days later, six graduates also earned their Forklift Certification through our valued partner, the Chesapeake Region Safety Council, gaining a marketable skill that can open doors to meaningful employment opportunities.

Even more exciting, three graduates have already secured employment!

Their success reflects the resilience, determination, and hard work that define our Returning Citizens Program. We are incredibly proud of all they’ve accomplished and look forward to continuing to support them on their journey ahead. 💪

Last month, our Bon Secours Community Schools team partnered with , , and to transform the playground at into a vibrant new playspace for hundreds of students 💙🛝

Projects like this reflect the heart of our Community Schools program by creating safe, supportive environments where young people can learn, grow, and thrive both inside and outside the classroom 🌳✨
