Make waves to fight cancer with SAA Baltimore! Swim, Volunteer, or Donate!

We support cancer research at the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center through an annual open water swim and several pool swims.

Closing out 2026 Baltimore City Rec & Parks and Swim Across America have raised $7000 for Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center for Swim Across America Thanks to everyone who came out to support us!

Though we had to pivot for safety, we were still today! We've raised over $440k supporting cancer research and clinical trials here in Baltimore for the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center. Keep fundraising through 10/31 - let's break $500k in 2026!

As Dr. Bill Nelson, Director of Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center said, "Every stroke you swim fuels more progress against this disease"

Special thanks to Coppermine Meadowbrook Club for allowing us to use their beautiful facility this weekend! Swim Across America

IMPORTANT: Our Open Water Swim this Sunday, 9/27, has moved to Coppermine Meadowbrook Club. Unfortunately, the weather forecast and conditions are not ideal for our event. Safety is always our top priority so we have made the decision to move the swim to a pool.

We have a fun morning planned at the outdoor pool with relays, lap swimming, cannonballs and more, benefiting Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center. The location is 5700 Cottonworth Avenue, Baltimore, MD.

There is no need to “re-register” if you are already registered for the Open Water Swim. We will also accept same-day registration for swimmers, so feel free to bring a friend or two!
