Alliance for Decision Education

Alliance for Decision Education The Alliance believes that better decisions lead to better lives and a better society. Informed by our success, we realized we had to do more.

In 2014, we began working with education experts to create engaging and award-winning programs that introduced decision skills to students across the country. Today, the Alliance for Decision Education is gathering education and industry leaders, researchers, policymakers, teachers, program providers, and parents from across the country to ensure Decision Education becomes a critical part of every

middle and high school student’s learning experience. We are building the field of Decision Education and creating a national movement that can, and will, make a difference in the lives of students for generations to come. Join our movement by signing our pledge: https://alliancefordecisioneducation.org/pledge.

Students don’t just need STEM knowledge; they need the ability to make thoughtful decisions with that knowledge.

How do we help students weigh evidence, navigate uncertainty, analyze risk, and make informed choices in a rapidly changing world?

In our edWeb.net webinar, “Teaching Decision-Making Skills for STEM Readiness: From Classroom to Career,” we explored how Decision Education can be integrated into the teaching you’re already doing, helping students apply what they know in meaningful ways, allowing them to navigate a world of uncertainty and complexity.

A recording of the webinar is available now! Watch and share with anyone who may be interested in bringing decision-making skills to their classroom.

Announcing our newest Decision Education Incubator: Decision-Making Across Core Curriculum Messaging Platform!

We are excited to invite public and charter schools to apply for our innovative program where the Alliance and school teams co-design ways to integrate decision-making skills directly into existing instruction across ELA, math, science, and social studies. Rather than introducing something new, this work enhances what teachers already do.

Participating schools will receive professional learning, coaching, instructional resources, and access to the Alliance’s Decision Studio, a digital tool that helps integrate Decision Education concepts into lessons.

How do we prepare students not just to succeed, but to thrive, in a future shaped by AI and constant change? And how can we build these essential skills without adding more to already full classrooms?

In last month’s edWeb.net webinar, “Teaching Decision-Making Skills for STEM Readiness: From Classroom to Career,” our Education Senior Manager, Kevin Parkinson explored how Decision Education can be integrated into the teaching you’re already doing, helping students apply what they know in meaningful ways, allowing them to navigate a world of uncertainty and complexity.
