Building Skills, Strengthening Communities: A Successful Two Days of Maintenance Appliance Training in the Lehigh Valley!

It's been a busy and productive two days in the Lehigh Valley with back-to-back, hands-on Maintenance Appliance Trainings!

With over 50 attendees, our members showed great enthusiasm and eagerness to expand their appliance knowledge and skills.

A huge thank-you to MHD for hosting this event, and to our four amazing sponsors: Acadia Window and Door, Chadwell Supply, Cooper Roofing, and RestoreCore.

We'd also like to thank The Armory in Bethlehem, PA, for providing a fantastic space for our members to learn, connect, and grow.

PAA attends the the 2026 PAA Chamber Housing Summit.

Steve Chintaman and Rickie Zanone of the PAA had the pleasure to exhibit at the 2026 PA Chamber Housing Summit focused on housing, workforce development, economic growth, and the policies that will help shape Pennsylvania's future.

The program featured several outstanding presentations, including Dr. Jenny Schuetz, Vice President of Infrastructure – Housing, Arnold Ventures, who examined Pennsylvania's current housing landscape and highlighted the critical role that expanding housing supply plays in supporting economic growth, workforce attraction, and community development.

Attendees also heard from Makinizi Hoover, Senior Director of Housing Policy, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, who provided a federal housing policy update and discussed emerging opportunities and challenges impacting housing affordability and accessibility nationwide.

Together, these presentations offered valuable insights into how state and federal policies can help address housing needs and strengthen Pennsylvania's competitiveness.

The thoughtful discussions, expert insights, and engagement helped make the Summit a valuable forum for exchanging ideas and exploring solutions to one of the Commonwealth's most pressing challenges.

Leadership Conversations That Matter.

The PAA Western Regional Advisory Council Multifamily Leadership Round Table brought together multifamily professionals for an afternoon of meaningful conversation, idea sharing, and peer-to-peer learning.

Attendees engaged in six dynamic discussion topics, exchanging insights on leadership, team development, operational challenges, resident experience, and the evolving demands facing today's multifamily professionals. The energy around the tables proved that some of the best solutions come from open, honest conversations with industry colleagues.

Last night, the Pennsylvania Apartment Association was proud to join Governor Josh Shapiro and House Speaker Joanna McClinton in Philadelphia to support continued dialogue around Pennsylvania's housing future.

PAA CEO Carol Christner and Vice President of Government Affairs Steven Chintaman were honored to be part of the conversation as leaders work together to expand housing opportunities, reduce barriers to development, and strengthen communities across the Commonwealth.
