On Friday, February 27th, medical schools and hospitals nationwide celebrated Thank a Resident Day! We were so happy to celebrate with the Internal Medicine residents at Chestnut Hill Hospital. To our residents who answer pages at 2 AM, teach between admissions, stay late without complaining, and somehow still make time to explain that EKG one more time, thank you.
We are eternally grateful for you, and we hope you enjoyed lunch courtesy of PCOM GHHS! 🫶🤗🤩

We had an amazing time making cards for seniors and healthcare providers at our Solidarity Week event! The purpose of our event was to encourage compassion and kindness within the PCOM and broader community. GHHS Solidarity Week is an annual week-long event organized by the national Gold Humanism Honor Society that brings together chapters at medical schools and patient care institutions to celebrate and promote compassionate, patient-centered care within healthcare communities. It typically takes place around Valentine’s Week and includes activities designed to foster empathy, unity, kindness, and humanism between healthcare providers and patients.

We had the pleasure of volunteering with the Community Wellness Initiative at the annual Black Men’s Wellness Day at Temple University. We had so much fun assisting with screenings, cheering on participants, and teaching easy mobility exercises to senior community members. We love participating in these events to remind us of our commitment to patients’ wellbeing and the importance of preventative medicine!

This summer, our wonderful volunteers participated in the Girls on the Run 5K! We love to support our local community 🫶 Girls on the Run offers opportunities for girls of all abilities to recognize their inner strength and make meaningful connections with others. We are so glad to be a part of such a worthy cause! 🧡🧡

On June 29, 2025 we welcomed our newest inductees into the Gold Humanism Honor Society 💛Congratulations to these future physicians who embody compassion empathy and excellence in medicine. 🩺 Special thank you to our wonderful speaker, Dr. Tanaka, for an inspirational speech to our new members!
