The CE Upload Module is Now Live!
As a reminder, during the Texas 89th Legislature Session, SB 912 (https://capitol.texas.gov/tlodocs/89R/billtext/pdf/SB00912F.pdf) was passed, requiring all nurses to track continuing education (CE) prior to renewal.
Texas nurses can now upload their continuing education (CE) documentation directly through the Texas Nurse Portal.
âť—Important Dates:
CE uploads will be required for license renewals and reactivations starting September 1, 2026, but the module is available now so you can get familiar with the process ahead of time.
How to Upload Your CE:
• Log in to your Texas Nurse Portal
• Select “Add Continuing Education” next to your license
• Follow the built-in instructions, a step-by-step tutorial is also available here: https://tinyurl.com/3hc6ym6z.
What You Need to Know:
• Beginning September 1, 2026, you must upload proof of all required CE before submitting your renewal or reactivation application.
• Acceptable CE documentation includes certificates of completion and transcripts.
• Make sure your CE meets the Texas Board of Nursing’s requirements—review accepted providers and topics before uploading.
