Your Donations at Work: Emma’s Story
Emma is 10 years old. In November 2025, she was diagnosed with Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma.
Since then, life for Emma and her family has revolved around treatment. Weekly chemotherapy, five-day treatment cycles, overnight hospital stays, and six weeks in Dallas for proton radiation.
Through it all, her parents have continued working when they can, caring for their other two children, and trying to keep life moving forward.
But cancer doesn’t just take an emotional toll. It takes a financial one too.
Every appointment and hospital stay can mean time away from work. Income slows down, but the mortgage, utilities, groceries, and everyday expenses don’t.
Emma’s mom, Jessica, explained it simply:
“Even though I cannot work consistently, our lives and expenses did not decrease.”
As Emma nears the end of treatment, several unpaid medical bills had already been sent to collections.
That’s where your donations went to work.
The Keep Climbing Foundation worked directly with the providers and collection agencies to get everything cleared up and recently paid three of Emma’s past-due medical bills.
Three bills her family no longer has to worry about.
Jessica told us Emma has been the family’s rock throughout this journey:
“We draw as much strength from her as she draws from us.”
This is exactly why we climb.
Your donations are helping real families, right now, when they need it most.
Your donations are at work.
Thank you for making stories like Emma’s possible.
