After four years with Marathon Kids, we’re wishing a heartfelt farewell to our Digital Marketing Manager, Aaron Bernard, as he takes the next step in his career!

Aaron has helped bring our mission to life through countless emails and marketing campaigns, encouraging families and educators to join our programs, inspiring runners to register for races, and helping more kids discover the joy of movement.

Behind every campaign was an effort to connect people with opportunities to get involved. We’re grateful for the creativity, care, and dedication Aaron brought to that work and to our team.

Thank you for four wonderful years, Aaron. We’re cheering you on in your next chapter! 👟

What a way to kick off the Marathon Kids season!

The energy was contagious at North Elementary in Leander ISD as students hit the track for the Marathon Kids Kickoff Celebration presented by SCHEELS!

With music, cheers, cowbells, and plenty of smiles, students started logging their first miles and building momentum for a season of movement, goal setting, and BIG achievements!

A huge THANK YOU to SCHEELS for helping make this celebration possible and to the incredible North Elementary educators and volunteers who made the day so special!

Here's to a season of healthy habits, growing confidence, and showing every kid what they CAN accomplish, one lap at a time!

A strong start to the Marathon Kids season, and the momentum keeps building!

From June through September, kids across the country got moving, built healthy habits, and reached some incredible milestones:

🔵 263,474 participants
🔵 1,535 run clubs
🔵 1,053,862 miles crushed

Behind every number is a kid moving more, a school creating opportunities to be active, and a community investing in healthier futures.

More than one million miles already, and we’re just getting started.

Another year of keeping kids moving, together.

We’re proud to recognize -E-B for continuing to support Marathon Kids and helping more young people experience the joy, confidence, and connection that come from being active.

At LeNoir Elementary in Donna ISD, Coach Alma Encina started the Magic Milers with just 15–20 students. Today, more than 60 students regularly show up on Wednesday mornings to run, encourage one another, and ask their teammates to do “just one more lap.”

That enthusiasm has extended beyond the school. When the City challenged local running clubs to participate in the unveiling of a new hike-and-bike trail, the Magic Milers showed up in force — demonstrating what health, teamwork, and community can look like when kids are given the opportunity to move together.

Stories like this are possible because of partners who believe in healthier kids and stronger communities.

🎒 Back to School with BRCE 👟

New school year. New goals. New laces.

We teamed up with BRCE, the Official Footwear Accessory Sponsor of Marathon Kids, to help kids in one of our programs step into the school year with a little extra style and confidence.

BRCE is a growing brand creating unique, stylish, untie-resistant shoelaces that let kids show off their personality with every step, and you may have recently seen them featured on Shark Tank!

We’re grateful for partners like BRCE who believe in supporting kids, encouraging movement, and making healthy habits a little more fun.

Kicking off a new Marathon Kids season, and our schools and communities are already off to an incredible start!

Together, Marathon Kids participants are building healthy habits, run clubs are championing healthier communities, and every mile is creating momentum toward a brighter future.

So far this season:

• 77,474 participants
• 535 run clubs
• 198,960 miles crushed

And we’re just getting started.

Celebrating Three Years of Impact 💙🏃‍♀️

We’re excited to welcome back the DICK’S Sporting Goods Foundation for a third consecutive year of supporting Marathon Kids and our Girls Movement program!

Because of their continued investment, more girls across the country are discovering the confidence, joy, and lifelong benefits that come from being active.

Last season, Girls Movement reached:

💙 9,007 girls nationwide

Every mile logged, every goal achieved, and every new runner empowered is made possible through partners who believe in creating opportunities for all kids to move.
