✅ Riders in Austin should strongly consider voting “Yes” for Proposition A this election. This would approve bond funding for Austin Parks including Bolm and Walter E Long which both include MTB facilities in their vision plans.

Do not underestimate the power of your support! It is because of your feedback that we have MTB infrastructure in these vision plans to begin with.

Travis County is developing vision plans for Reimers Ranch Park and its newest park, RGK Ranch Park, which is not yet open to the public, and we want to hear what you think.

We encourage you to:

Join us this Sunday at 9am for our first ever group ride at Mary Moore Searight Park! Riders can stop by Switchback Coffee & B**r after the ride for a 10% discount on drinks! We love the name, and they are right up the road from the park. They’re also hosting our friends Bike Story Night on Friday, August 7th for anyone interested! More details at their website.

Last November, a rider was hit by a car on the main park road near the BMX Loop entrance, and there was a thread about it.

Austin Ridge Riders Mountain Bike Club contacted Austin Parks and Recreation department as well as Council Member Mike Siegel’s District 7 office.

A couple months ago, the City put in a cross-walk and signs, and today the Parks crew is installing speed bumps in several spots along the park entrance road, as well as more signage.

Thanks a ton to everyone who reported the issue and the City for taking actions!
