The month of May is a great time join Austin Ridge Riders or renew your membership. As a local chapter of IMBA, we are participating in the Leading with Trails Spring membership drive which gives you an opportunity to be entered to win one of several awesome prize packages. Top packages include a Yeti mountain bike!

Your membership helps us support trails in Austin, but more specifically: it covers the cost of lunch at group rides, insurance, tools, storage, material for builds, rewards for volunteers, marketing materials and signage, the stickers we give out at events and much more. It can even be useful in securing “matching grants”.

When you join ARR, you’ll have access to all the great benefits provided by IMBA, as well as local benefits from our partners! Click here to learn more: https://www.austinridgeriders.com/membership-drive

See you on the trail 🤙

Austin Ridge Riders was proud to support
National Walk Bike Roll to School Day, with our VP Cullen McMorrow, who is also a Safe Route to Schools Coordinator for Reilly Elementary PTA.

We had over 120 riders and pedestrian students & parents, with 59 student raffle entries and 9 winners of prizes like bicycle locks and helmets. Plus plenty of free sticker packs, sticker-reflectors, reflective leg bands, and bike-cargo pouches.

Thank you to our parent ride leaders Kaya, Jenna, Carl, Ben, and Diana; and sponsors Ghisallo Cycling Initiative, Empire BMX, The Peddler Bike Shop, Austin Ridge Riders Mountain Bike Club, Austin Youth Fitness, David Phillips Foundation, and City of Austin’s “Get There ATX” Program.

For more than 8 years, Austin Ridge Riders has been working with the Pecan Springs / Springdale Neighborhood Association, Austin Parks Foundation and Austin Parks and Recreation Department, to make the Little Walnut Creek Greenbelt at E. 51st & Springdale (aka "area 51) a successful trail system for the neighborhood and the larger East Austin mountain biking community.

Please consider joining the neighborhood's "It's My Park Day" event on Saturday March 7, 2026! There are still spots available, but they'll go fast! Register here: https://givepul.se/56qkkr

Help us reverse Emma Long! This Saturday at 9 AM our Trail Crew will be working with Central Texas Trials Association to reverse the loop direction at Emma Long park. This is also a heads up that the loop will now run clockwise. This will be light work, and we are limiting the workday to ten volunteers so please find additional details and RSVP via this link: https://www.tickettailor.com/events/arrtrailcrew/2076735

PLEASE DO SURVEY BEFORE Feb 14!! New State Park in Burnet / Lampasas Counties. We NEED ALL MTB RIDERS to click the boxes in favor of mountain biking. (Rumor is that some other interest groups have suggested keeping bikes out).

"TPWD invites you to help us plan the development of Post Oak Ridge State Park - a new 3,000-plus-acre park located along the Colorado River in Burnet and Lampasas counties. On this rugged, ecologically diverse landscape, we will provide outdoor access, protect sensitive habitats, and celebrate the area’s culture and heritage."

Cranksgiving Presented by KOM Trails was a total success. We are blown away with the support from our local community! Thanks to KOM Trails for supporting the event, Jeff Daugherty for cooking lunch, Doug Brandt for flagging the route, Manny Pandya for pro photography, Ray Cashman for bringing the Dialed van and supporting riders with mechanical work, Adam DiClaudio for running sound all day, Clint Newman, Brian Preston, and Clifton Wendel for transporting gear, Joe for organizing the Trail Steward workshop, Cullen McMorrow for organizing the skinny challenge, Brooks Lawson and Dale Daugherty for event planning.

Thank you to the following volunteers: Maureen and John Howell, Juan Acosta, Meghan Kilkelly, Carolyn Peterson, Kristin Speyer, Erin Wentworth, Jessica Lebbert, Randy Baylor, Michael Shapard, Carol Drake, Ken Reed, Daniel Schwartz, Carlos Barrera, Brian Preston, Olga Ostrovskaya, Vladimir and Artur Samoylenko, Eric Cappleman, Erica Kopanic, Keith McDorman, Greg Stevens, and Ron Perry.
