The U.S. Department of Agriculture has announced a $263 million food purchase that will help food banks provide fresh, nutritious foods to our communities.

By purchasing directly from American farmers and producers to help feed everyday Americans across our country, it's a win for all. This purchase includes protein-packed and staple pantry items like milk, dairy, legumes, and fruit, which are vital components of a healthy diet. Investments like these are critical in building hunger-free Texas.
