Ryan’s Case for Smiles is dedicated to helping sick children cope with the stress of life changing illnesses and injuries. We provide children with whimsical pillowcases throughout North America to give them an emotional boost and hope that enhances their emotional well-being. A hospital stay can be a terrifying experience for a child. So terrifying that 20% of children who survive cancer meet the

full clinical diagnosis of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Military Veterans since the Vietnam war. The good news is our whimsical pillowcases actually provide children with seven proven stress relievers during their hospital stays. These stress relievers include: 1. Comfort 2. Distraction / Play 3. Choice/ Control 4. Familiarity 5. Expression 6. Connection 7. Hope Our new partnerships with the nation's leading child psychologists are helping us develop and distribute coping tools for families, with a goal to help children feel better to heal better. With every stitch, every yard of fabric and every pillowcase, we get one step closer to our goal of helping kids with life changing illnesses or injuries, feel better to heal better.

Join Us Wednesdays at 1 pm EST this April!

Ryan’s Case for Smiles is hosting a free virtual webinar series called "What About Siblings?: Understanding and Supporting Siblings of Children with Illnesses and Injuries”. It will be held every Wednesday at 1 pm EST starting 4/12. It is free and open to the public, and is perfect for practitioners and family members alike.

Sessions will feature the latest research, current resources for siblings, and a sibling panel sharing their unique stories and perspectives. Continuing education credits and certificates of attendance are available to social workers, child life specialists and other professionals at no cost.
